7 Matches In, 8 Tomorrow

So LA came out and broke my Predictor Machine during the final seconds of Wednesday night’s match… hmmm… maybe we’ll thank them for it later? I mean, now that it’s broken, we don’t have to predict a 0-2 loss tomorrow when we play Chivas on the road, right?

I’ll let you answer that.

On the heels of a little disappointment, it feels like the time is right for a little side-by-side seasonal comparison to lift our spirits. Therefore, I present to you the numbers from 2008 through 7 games and the numbers from 2009 through 7 games in an attempt to chart some progress.

2008 THROUGH SEVEN GAMES . . . . . . . . 2009 THROUGH SEVEN GAMES
(4 home games, 3 road games) . . . . . . . . (4 home games, 3 road games)

shots taken: 92 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 112 (Woo! Even more shots)
goals scored: 11 (9 home, 2 road) . . . . . . . 14 (14 home, 0 road)
percentage scored: 12% . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12.5% (0.5% improvement)

Here’s hoping the Robes do a number on our expansion bros tomorrow.
