XanGo has always enjoyed working and playing in the world community. And when the world plays, it plays soccer.
On Friday, November 17, 2006, we unveiled an unprecedented development in U.S. professional sports and Major League Soccer by announcing our landmark jersey-front title sponsorship with Real Salt Lake—Real is the first to have a jersey-front sponsor, and XanGo is the first brand to land that spot. The first. Again.

The XanGo brand will travel with the team, showing up in dozens of states, multiple television stations, gaming consoles and key domestic and international markets.
When word got to Dave Checketts that the Real jersey front was sponsorable, he immediately thought of XanGo, Real Salt Lake’s partner in the XanGo Cup. “For the players, you have to put a name there that you are comfortable with,” Checketts said. “There are a lot of names we wouldn’t want to put there.”
XanGo President and CEO Aaron Garrity, Real Salt Lake Owner David W. Checketts, and eight RSL players wearing the new XanGo-branded jerseys gathered onstage at the Salt Palace Convention Center to make the historic announcement. Applause and cheers followed from nearly 10,000 attendees at our 4th Anniversary Convention, the XanGo Revolution, in Salt Lake City.
XanGo’s multi-year deal with Real Salt Lake includes signage and promotional opportunities at the team’s current venue, Rice-Eccles Stadium, as well as the team’s sports and entertainment venue in Sandy, slated to open summer 2008. Each year, Real Salt Lake’s international exhibition calendar will feature the XanGo Cup, which debuted on August 12, 2006, between RSL and Real Madrid, drawing more than 45,000 fans and 250,000 television viewers domestically. Select adidas/RSL training and off-field gear will also promote the XanGo/RSL partnership.
